Told, Jr. Mr. Told passed away on October 13, 2023 in Vermont.. He was 92 years old.

The Board of Trustees and Officers of the National Institute of Social Sciences are saddened to inform you of the death of former National Institute Trustee, preservationist, and philanthropist Joan Kaplan Davidson. Ms Davidson passed away on August 11th in Hudson, New York. She was 96 years old.

The National Institute of Social Sciences is pleased to launch its Dissertation Grants Program for 2023. NISS Dissertation Grants are designed to support outstanding Ph.D. students who need additional resources to complete doctoral work that promises to significantly advance their fields of study.

At its 2022 Annual Meeting of Members on November 29, the National Institute of Social Sciences elected six new members to the Board of Trustees and re-elected seven Trustees to new two-year terms.
